Showering Your Best Friend (Not Like That)

Apr. 5 2021 Miscellaneous By Cathie Crossin

Have you ever watched your dog jump into a dirty stream or river? The whole moment slows down and you watch it happen like it’s a movie in slow motion.  He ignores his name. You call and call and shout “noooo” at him but to no avail. He’s off leash and he’s committed to that leap. You know what’s next now too. You have a big, smelly mess on your hands!

Now if you’re lucky, you bought the trailer with the outdoor shower. You can simply walk back to the campsite and hook up his leash and hose him off gently with warm water. That’s best-case scenario.

Worst case is you’re wrestling a wild, wet beast and scrambling to find a wash bucket, trying to make do the best you can.

Outdoor shower features on trailers are definitely one of those “little things” that can make a massive difference to the actual camping experience. All trailers will have the basics, a bed, a kitchen and some sort of living space. An awning and outdoor speakers are very nice. They enhance that outdoor living experience of course. It’s so very nice to sit by the fire and enjoy the sunset while listening to your favourite playlist or podcast. An outdoor kitchen adds another layer of convenience and functionality too. No longer does the chef have to go inside to start preparing dinner and miss out on the outdoor living and conversations.

But an outdoor kitchen AND an outdoor shower, now you have it all!  This camper is meant for you. Having the right lifestyle features can greatly enhance the experience and make the most of your precious time at the campground.

The outdoor shower is so handy for washing sandy feet, muddy dogs, and smelly filleting tables. It’s versatile and used constantly, if you have one.

We have several units in stock where the outdoor shower is standard. The Aspen Trail 3020 is the family trailer with bunks, outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower, pass through storage and a second bathroom on board. It’s an ideal trailer to set up on a seasonal spot and use as your family home base for the summer.

Another trailer to look at if you don’t need bunks would be the Northern Spirit 2557. It’s got the Camping Simplified package on it where you have all the luxury and convenience features for two people and their best canine buddies.

If you need a camper that’s more than just a bed, something that’s suited to real life and all the laughs and hiccups that go with it, please give us a call. We can find something that’s perfect for you AND your furry, lake-jumping best friend.
