Pik-A-Dilly Newsletter – December 2013

Intro/Letter From the Editor – Ryan Main – General Manager

Well, after taking a month break from the Pik-A-Dilly newsletter, we find Christmas and holiday season mere days away. Lots to report from the Pik-A-Dilly world this month, so let’s dive right in!!

First off, we have made some executive decisions regarding our newsletter, and have decided that rather than flood you with camping information during the off-season, we will limit our mailings to every other month in non-camping season. This means that there might be a couple of months during the winter stretch where you do not receive this mailing. Rest assured, though, that when the season starts to gear up, we’ll be in your inbox every month with all of our normal monthly features for your reading pleasure. And, you can always make suggestions for upcoming newsletter articles, features, or what you’d like to see by emailing todd@pikadilly.com or myself at rmain@pikadilly.com.

Next up, almost literally, is the Pik-A-Dilly Annual Show and Sale at the Keystone Centre. This year Pik-A-Dilly will be moving the show down the hall (still within the Keystone Centre) to the Westoba Ag Centre of Excellence. This move will allow our show to grow for years to come and we think that you’ll be impressed by how much bigger our show will be this year and how our pricing will be the best it’s ever been. We can’t wait for this year’s big event and hope you’ll stop by and join us.

The newsletter this month contains some great ideas for stocking stuffers or gifts for the camper on your holiday list this season, so be sure to read the parts blurb a little further down the page. And from all of our family here at Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre to yours we wish you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or whichever you may be observing. Please remember, that if you plan on indulging this holiday season use a designated driver, call a cab, use Operation Red Nose, or use public transit. Just please, don’t drink and drive!!

Also, our holiday hours are as follows:
Closed at 4:30 on the 20th (staff function)
Open 9-4 on the 21st (parts and sales)
Closed from the 22nd to January 1st
Back to regular hours (8:30-5:30) January 2nd

holiday hours
Lastly, please join us in wishing a heartfelt congratulations to one of our technicians, Miguel Oviedo, who, along with his wife Sandra (she did the hard part) and their two children, welcomed a baby girl into this balmy winter weather this past week!!

Sales Department

This month the sales department is off to brush up on their skills at a week-long training course in Washington. But, that doesn’t mean the chance to pick up a great deal has been put on hold at Pik-A-Dilly. Until December 31st, we are offering “Better Than Show Pricing” on two floor plans in our showroom (that’s right, they’re warm). We have the 2014 Springdale 266RLSSR (a couple’s rear living room), and the Summerland 2820BHGL (double over double rear bunks) on special only until the New Year with a special discount from our manufacturer. You can order either one of these floor plans in the color of your choosing for spring delivery and reap the reward of the discount. Then, all you have to do is wait for the snow to melt and you’re set!! And, not to worry, we have well equiped staff to get all your questions answered while the sales team is at sales school!

We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome JP Talbot to the sales team. JP comes to this side of the building from the back shop where some of you probably met him while doing your new unit demonstration. Officially JP has done near everything in the dealership with this move, having started out as our lot guy back in 2008 before moving into the back shop as a technician. He had a brief couple of days filling in for the parts department as an emergency call-up this year, before starting as a full-time salesman on September 30th. He is eager to get selling and knows the product inside and out. So, if you or anyone you know is in the market for a new or new to them RV, let’s help JP hit the ground running.

When the temperatures really started to drop off, we were just finalizing the re-working of the sales lot, so everything has it’s place and is open and available to be seen (even in the cold weather). New inventory is arriving almost daily, so if you want to start the search for your next RV, we’re more than ready to accommodate you!!
