Choose The Right Trailer At The Right Time
What happens if the kids have you outnumbered? Is there for a camper for “just me and the kids?”
Absolutely. Yes, there is a camper for every family or individual at every stage of our lives. The key to finding the right camper is to really look at what you are wanting to do and what activities you want to pursue right now. Don’t try to predict the future or what your kids might want to do, or not want to do 10 years from now. You wouldn’t buy a size 8 winter coat for a toddler so apply the same purchasing consideration to a camper for your family. Find the trailer that works and that you are excited about today. If in three years you find you want more space, or something off grid or solar powered, then trade it in and get something different. Again, think of it as that coat. You will trade up and trade in whenever necessary. You would not try to “make do” with a toddler’s coat on a growing 6-year old. So why do that with your camper or your summers. You may only get 15 summers to camp with your kids. Every single one of them counts.
The other thing I want to share is, it’s not “just you.” You are important. You deserve to have comforts and entertainment and fantastic times too. I bet you say it yourself or you know someone who does. “Just me.” I’m guilty of saying it, especially when it comes to preparing meals. If I’m eating solo, a bowl of soup or beans and toast will do, because it’s “just me.” So, that’s my message here today, treat yourself like you matter. Choose the food, the jacket, the camper, the vacation that makes you smile. Settle less and live more. You matter! Splurging on a camper isn’t really a splurge. It’s an investment. There is a retained value in the physical camper in addition to the inherent value of the days well spent. Choose the camper that fits and excites you. Something that makes you look FORWARD. 2020 is behind us. Let’s plan for summer 2021!
