Pik-a-Dilly RV Centre Newsletter – February 28, 2013

Intro – Ryan Main – General Manager

I would like to open this month’s newsletter with a thank you to all of those who attended our Annual Show and Sale at the beginning of the month.  This was one of our biggest shows in recent memory, which has everyone here at Pik-A-Dilly excited about the upcoming camping season.  One of the reasons for this show being such a good show was the debut of our two new lines; the Catalina Deluxe and the Catalina Santara, which Dave will elaborate more about below.

Some huge news from RV Care to start the 2013 camping seasons as well; RV Care, and it’s 60 dealers across Canada, have partnered with Priority RV in the USA to provide travelling customers with full service and someone that they can turn to all across North America.  Full details on this partnership are outlined in the official press release below.

Also new to the dealership is our Facebook and Twitter pages.  If you’re a member of either site, be sure to follow us on Twitter and/or ‘like’ us on Facebook to receive updates on exclusive sales and promotion that we will be running from time to time.  As well as the contests for free loot!!

This month Heather will introduce you to one of our new service technicians, Miguel Oviedo and Todd will provide you with a recipe that’s a must try.  So until next month, enjoy the read and as always, should you have any questions/comments/concerns, please email me at rmain@pikadilly.com.  If you have any suggestions for the monthly newsletter, please forward them to todd@pikadilly.com.

Service Department News – Heather Arthurson – Service Manager

Miguel OviedoThis month I would like to take the opportunity to introduce to our customers and friends, as well as welcome to our Pik-A-Dilly family, Miguel Oviedo, one of our new service technicians here at Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre.

Miguel and his young family moved to Brandon from Columbia in 2007, and he started with our team in the fall of 2012.  He has been a wonderful asset to our service team, performing the duties of PDI (pre-delivery inspection) technician as well as doing RV repairs.  The cold, winter months will soon be behind us for another year and Miguel is the perfect asset to our team for the busy camping season.  Miguel is an extremely hard worker and when there is any down time, there is no fear that he will quickly find himself something to keep busy at.

Miguel is a pleasure to have in the shop and does enjoy his fun as well, as he does pull the odd trip or two to keep the other guys on their toes.  Please help us in welcoming Miguel to the Pik-A-Dilly family.

Sales Department News – Dave Shepherd – Sales Manager

Introducing the Catalina Santara and Catalina Deluxe Edition travel trailers by Coachmen.

Those that attended our Annual Show and Sale got a glimpse of the 2013 Catalina travel trailers. This product line is new to Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre and to introduce it properly, we are holding an Open House Friday March 15th and Saturday March 16th. We invite all to come and see the product, enjoy Refreshments & Cookies and enter to win one of the numerous Door Prizes.

Check out the Santara series. Light weight, affordable and loaded with standard features and packages.

The Catalina Deluxe Edition offers floor plans from 25’ to 37’. All are quality built, feature plenty of storage and are loaded with features.

Also, at present we find ourselves low in stock of used travel trailers & 5th wheels. For those looking to move up or if you have a friend or family member thinking of trading, we need good trades and are paying top dollar for them.

That’s all for now and we look forward to seeing you on the 15th & 16th for the Catalina Introduction Open House.

PRIORITY RV & RV CARE NETWORKS FORM ALLIANCE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

U.S –based Recreational Dealer Cooperative Association (Priority RV Network) and Canada-based RV Care Network Ltd. have formed North America’s largest RV dealer Network for their traveling customers, it was announced today.

Canadians who buy from an RV Care dealership will now receive priority emergency service for major breakdowns while traveling in the United States and vice versa, when Americans who buy from a Priority RV Network dealership are traveling in Canada.

“This alliance will enhance the traveling experience for all RV Care and Priority RV customers,” said Earl Manning, Managing Vice President of RV Care. Corey Ruzicka, Executive Director of Priority RV Network added: “More than 154 dealerships in the US and Canada will offer a major selling advantage for the buying customer. No dealer or dealer group in either country can offer this to the RV consumer except RV Care in Canada and Priority RV Network here in America. We feel this alliance will increase sales for the dealers in both groups.”

Both RV Care and Priority RV Network will continue to operate as separate entities. RV Care currently consists of 60 full-service RV dealerships in the 10 provinces across Canada while Priority RV Network has 94 dealerships in 41 states.

“A lot of Americans visit Canada in their RVs. And a lot of Canadians travel to the US on RV vacations and as snowbirds during the winter. Now, our customers will have peace of mind for service and parts when they travel on both sides of the border,” said Bill Redmond, President of RV Care Network and Bucars RV Centre in Balzac, Alberta.

Both groups offer a variety of additional benefits for their dealers. This alliance may also open the door for exciting new opportunities with industry suppliers. “They have dealers from ocean to ocean, as we do. Why would a consumer buy anywhere else? Our customers who vacation in Canada will be excited about this alliance,” said Michael Peay, President of the Priority RV Network and Holiday World of Houston.

The RV Care Network is the largest network of independent RV dealers in Canada with 60 locations from coast to coast who are all committed to helping the traveling customers of the other RV Care dealers, and now the dealers of the Priority RV Network. RV Care also works with a selection of industry partners to provide products and services to the RV Care dealers which help them provide top quality service and value to their customers. For more information, visit www.rvcare.com.

The Priority RV Network provides innovative, convenient, value driven programs to an exclusive nationwide dealer network creating a competitive advantage for its members while providing value to their customers. Priority is run by a seven-member dealer board of directors. It also boasts of its strong, independent dealership service network referred to as the Priority RV Network.
